
The Kogi State governor has constituted an Economic and Advisory Council (EAC) to work with the government on deliberate economic planning. While Federal Polytechnic Offa Alumnus, Ambassador Olusiji Godwin Aina is to work as Alternate Chairman of the council.
In a statement released by the Commissioner of Information, and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the reason for constituting the Economic Advisory Council was to make available an evidence-driven decision making and rigorous evaluation of the economy.
Meanwhile, the Federal Polytechnic Offa Alumni Association, through its President, Dr. Ayoade Adeyemi, has congratulated Godwin Olusiji Aina and described his appointment as another testimonial of the fastest and best status of the Institution in all works of life.
According to Fanwo, the Council will systematically take stock of the most recent trends in economic development, applied economic methods; poverty analytics, evaluation methods and modeling, measuring and evaluating development interventions.
The 36 member EAC is chaired by Mr. Aliyu Inda Salami while Amb Olusiji Godwin Aina is the alternate Chairman. Professor Joshua Okpanachi is the Secretary of the group.
Olusiji Godwin Aina is a graduate of Statistics from Federal Polytechnic Offa. He is a Development Economist and Impact Investing Specialist.
